Ok Zoomer: a Mod for Minecraft 1.17.1 / 1.16.5 adds a customizable multifunction zoom key, which allows you to scale. By default, the zoom key is linked to C, and the zoom itself is different, with features such as scrolling, smooth transitions, and reduced mouse sensitivity.
What’s so interesting about it?
It’s not the end of the story, though, because here you are in charge of your own zoom. Through the settings screen (which can be accessed via the mod menu) the zoom is fully customizable, and if the default behavior isn’t exactly what you want, you can change the smallest details or even restore the OptiFine zoom with just a tap a button!
A classic way to move the camera that uses the OptiFine, but more compatible with the vanilla film camera itself. It has 3 modes: off, vanilla and multiplied. Vanilla is exactly equal to the game’s cinematic camera function and Multiplied multiplies the values used for smoothness by reducing or increasing the delay.
An alternative way to move the camera, represented by WI Zoom. Zoom divides mouse sensitivity dynamically, the higher it is, the slower the mouse, resulting in greater accuracy. It can be enabled or disabled.
A feature of this mod, it adds transitions between approaching and moving away instead of a sudden change. It has 3 modes: off, smooth and linear. Smooth transitions are similar to Vanilla’s dynamic FOV, while linear transitions have constant steps until they reach the state.
The actual behavior of the zoom key. It has 3 modes: hold, toggle and constant. Hold down requires holding down the zoom key, Switch allows you to toggle the zoom, Persistent makes the zoom constant, with the key used to scroll the zoom (recommended with a 1.0 zoom divider).
Another feature introduced by WI Zoom allows you to use the mouse wheel to zoom in or out its features can be set to “Values”.
Additional keyboard shortcuts:
Add 3 more keyboard shortcuts: “Zoom in”, “Zoom out” and “Reset zoom”. Used best in conjunction with constant or fixed zoom. It can be disabled or enabled, but Minecraft must be restarted to apply the changes.
Add an overlay when approaching. By default, the texture is a bullet, but it can be changed with the resource pack. Texture path: assets / okzoomer / textures / misc / zoom_overlay.png.
The divider that is applied to the field of view when enlarged.
Minimum / maximum increase divisor:
The minimum zoom splitter that can achieve scrollable zoom or additional keyboard shortcuts.
Scrolling steps (smaller):
The value that decreases or increases the zoom splitter when scrolling, or when additional keyboard shortcuts are used, the smallest scroll step is used when the zoom splitter is lower than the default, and the normal step is larger.
The multiplier that applies to the movie camera when using the multiplier mode.
The multiplier used for a smooth transition: higher is faster, smaller is slower.
Minimum / maximum linear step:
The limits of the linear transition step used to prevent the transition from being too fast or too slow.
Allows you to reset the zoom with the middle mouse button, intended to be used in conjunction with the scroll zoom or additional keys that are effective for a constant zoom.
Disable conflicting key:
Disables the “Save toolbar trigger” link if both it and the zoom key are set to C. It is enabled when the configuration file is created, but disabled when the key is not linked, it can be activated on the configuration screen in in case the automatic deactivation is not performed. it doesn’t work.
Print owo at startup:
When this mod is enabled, this mod will print “[Ok Zoomer] What is this or its variants in the console log when the configuration is loaded, which originally meant it was the standalone version of the mod, can be enabled regardless of stability.
Reset to default:
Allows you to change the settings with default values whose values are already populated, the preset is applied after saving the settings. It has 3 presets: default, classic and permanent. Default changes the values to the default values on the settings screen, Classic changes the values to match the OptiFine scale. The constant changes the values to behave more like a FOV mod than a zoom mod.
